Treat northern Darkshore as a camp. Other bears share the area and other players may be waiting. Leave room around the tame and wait for clear ground.

A polar bear skin with standard bear abilities. Camp it when Darkshore is already on your route.

Send the bear first. Its armor and health buy time when a second mob joins the pull. Claw and Growl hold the target in place. Feed it fruit, fungus, bread, or honey.
Bear family
A reliable default for a Hunter. Armor, Growl, Claw, and a broad diet make the bear easy to keep stocked.
