Professions

Leatherworking for Armor

Armor kits and crafted leather or mail pieces give beast-heavy routes a predictable gear path.

Armor kits on chest, legs, hands, and feet give Hunter regular armor through the 20s and 30s. Wild Leather fills missing slots in the level 40–50 band. Skin the beasts already on the route to fund the upgrades.

Class profession defaults, alternatives, and the tools each package adds to a difficult route.

Mining plus Engineering is the default. Bombs add the area damage Hunter lacks through much of leveling and cover a split pull after pet control fails.

Let Engineering extend the plan rather than decide every pull.

Skinning plus Leatherworking gives a steady armor curve paid by beasts already on the route.

Alchemy is a Survival melee-weaving niche because the pet cannot use your potions.

Professions

Fishing for Food and Supplies

Fishing feeds Cooking, funds supplies, and gives you a safe recovery pause between difficult pulls.

Barrens Deviate Fish is fun food. Nightfin Soup supplies +8 mana per five, and fish that matches the pet’s diet keeps it happy. Fishing feeds Cooking, Cooking feeds the pet, and the pet helps keep the next pull under control.

Professions

Engineering for Pull Control

Bombs, Target Dummies, and Sapper Charges add a stun, threat handoff, and area damage when a pull widens.

A split pull, patrol, or pet on the wrong target can break the Hunter plan quickly. Iron Grenade stuns the secondary target while you recall and reposition the pet. Goblin Sapper Charge is the multi-add tool and also damages you. Trap first, then use Engineering if the pull expands.

Professions

Cooking for Recovery

Food restores health between pulls, provides buffs at higher levels, and keeps a Hunter pet fed.

Feed the pet food it actually eats and keep it near its level. Pet happiness supports its damage and threat, while player stat food does nothing for it. Feed before a multi-mob pull and keep the pull small enough to control.
