Enchanting for Gear Upgrades

Minor Speed, early wands, and gear enchants improve the character's baseline. Choose another profession for immediate pull recovery.

Start with Minor Speed

Enchanting turns green drops into materials and materials into permanent upgrades. Minor Speed is Classic’s movement-speed boot enchant and works from level 5 onward. Crusader can proc large weapon heals. Agility or Stamina on a cloak gives a modest permanent bonus once the gear drops.

Useful upgrades

  • Enchant your own upgrades in town. You can move into the next zone with the gear already finished.

  • Craft a Lesser Magic Wand at Enchanting 10. It beats vendor wands through level 13 for Priest and Mage, which reduces early spell casts and drinking.

  • Disenchant unused bind-on-equip greens. Dust, essences, and shards carry more value per bag slot than vendor trash, and high-tier materials keep selling.

Pull recovery

Enchanting adds no stun, potion, or exit tool when a pull widens. Engineering and Alchemy provide direct recovery instead. Choose Enchanting when another profession covers emergencies, or when a cloth caster wants the Tailoring and Enchanting loop.

Who benefits

Priest, Mage, and Warlock get the clearest loop. Tailoring supplies bags, robes, and chest pieces. Enchanting turns overflow greens into materials and adds Minor Speed or stats to the gear you keep.

Keep the pull small

Minor Speed helps create distance. Keep the room small enough to use it.
