    Plaguehound packs

    Risk
    AmbushPatrolTravel
    Area
Open plain between the Bulwark road, Felstone Field, and Dalson's Tears, where hound packs cross the same grass that Plaguebats fly over
    Failure state
A Plaguebat drops onto a hound pull in open field, the disease stack keeps ticking through both fights, and there is nothing but grass between you and the road.
    Exit call
Cross the plain on the road rather than through the fields. If a bat joins a hound pull, back to the nearest fence line and finish one target at a time.

    Area
The switchback road running north from Northridge Lumber Mill to the Hearthglen gate, where Scarlet Crusade patrols hold both shoulders
    Failure state
A Scarlet patrol takes the road behind you while you are already committed on the shoulder, and the only open ground left runs uphill into Hearthglen.
    Exit call
Ride the road, do not fight on it. If a patrol closes, break downhill south toward Northridge Lumber Mill instead of north.

    Area
The ruined streets, silos, and tower bases of Andorhal, where cleared ground refills faster than one quest loop takes
    Failure state
A lockbox loop runs long enough that the street you cleared has refilled, and the walk back out meets fresh ghouls with your health already spent on the way in.
    Exit call
Bank one objective per trip and leave by the southern road. If two mobs path in from ground you already cleared, run for Chillwind Camp or hearth.

Levels 51-58

The cauldron chain gives Western Plaguelands a natural west-to-east order. Keep Chillwind Camp or the Bulwark as the reset, and treat Andorhal, Northridge Lumber Mill, and Hearthglen as separate prepared trips rather than stops on the same loop.

What kills characters here

  • Plaguehound and Plaguebat packs: hounds cross the same open plain the bats fly over, so one pull becomes two layers.

  • Scarlet patrols: the Hearthglen road holds patrols on both shoulders, and several are elite.

  • Andorhal respawn: cleared streets and silo bases refill faster than a single quest loop takes.

Plan the trips

  • Run the cauldrons in order from Felstone Field east. Each one shortens the next return.

  • Treat Hearthglen as its own trip. The switchback road is the fight, not the destination.

  • Leave Andorhal before the second pass. The ground you cleared is already back.

The reset is the plan

A cleared street in Andorhal is a timer, not a result. Leave on the timer.
